I really do like the sound of rain. I don't want to be out in it but I like the sound of it hitting the house or the sidewalk. There is something refreshing about it. Yesterday at church it sounded like we had a torrential downpour not once but twice. They even had to turn up the volume on the pastor's talk. When we went outside, the sidewalks were dry and there were only a few puddles. Why the difference? The sound of rain on a metal building is amplified by about 100 so what was probably a sprinkling turned into a downpour in sound.
I still like the sound of rain. I'm just a poor judge of how much is falling.
A look at the world through my eyes. Sometimes funny, sometimes serious, sometimes somewhere in between.

Bad Memory
I had a great blog post formulated in my mind one night right before I went to sleep. It was profound, funny, memorable. Of course I forgot it in the morning so I can't write it up for everyone else to read. Guess I need a laptop attached to my bed so I can impart my wisdom on everyone at all times. Because my memory WILL fail me now.

Ramblings of a Mad Woman
Well it is a great title. But I'm not a mad woman. Just the typical 44 year old workaholic who can't say no, who doesn't know how to take a vacation, and who thinks she needs to help out others when she has a full plate herself.
Then again, maybe that is the definition of a mad woman.
