So last night I was trying to work on my Friday post on my ipad and I couldn't see it. This has happened before since the new blogger took over. It seems like I have to buy an app in order to blog from an ipad. I refuse to spend money on something that should be free. This sounds like a conspiracy to me. Plus now I've lost the entire blog entry. Super bad.
I'm also trying to figure out how to create a page to put all my recipes on with links. I'd like to gather enough of them and make it easy to find so I can join Secret Recipe Club. I've got a lot of recipes to go but I figure if I start now organizing it will be easier. I also could just put a keyword search button on the blog but I've tried to add the gadget and it won't work.
I use Google Chrome for my browser at work and Mobile Safari for the ipad.
If anyone has guidance, please let me know.
Good luck. I understand a lot of people are having problems with the new blogger. It still works the same for me but I am not using an app, iPad or iPhone, just doing the same 'ol from my laptop.
ReplyDeleteI agree Blogger should remain free for what it's original intents and purposes were, but since the app is a new type of offering since Blogger came into existence several years ago I don't see a problem with paying for the app to blog from other mediums. It seems a lot of apps cost for the convenience to use them on iPads/Phones.
i don't like that Blogger has started to charge for additional storage for pictures to enable you to post them. i have been blogging since 2005 and this is the first I have heard of the Picassa file, limits and that my pics are stored there. I can't even find the file to delete some of them to go back under a limit I never even knew I had or that I signed up for. I didn't but it doesn't seem to matter to Blogger and they are of absolutely no help. Everyone says it is a small price to pay, but to me it is the principle. I have been posting pics since 2005 and now, suddenly they want money? I think they will end up losing a lot of members over their new changes.
Good luck with your apps and iPad. I hope they change the rules.
I love my ipad but hate it for blogging including reading blogs! The new blogger form is driving me nuts I hate it! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the new format...now that I've got it figured out, but like SkippyMom I'm not using an i-anything. I don't know what to tell you about the app. :(
ReplyDeleteSkippyMom, I've been blogging since 2001 and most of the time it's been on Blogger. They started the Picassa picture files a few years ago. I've never been warned about paying or anything. I think you have to post a LOT of pictures to have to worry about it.
