Have you seen the story of the new football stadium a city in Texas built for $60million? some may see that as excessive but having gone to high school in Houston, I understand.
The school district I went to had three high schools and a stadium that sat 15,000. I didn't think anything of it even moving there from a high school in Florida. It was just the thing to do. Homecoming in Texas meant big mum corsages with ribbons and attachments, the more the better.
So after reading the story I wondered how my old school district was doing. I googled it and wow has it changed. They built a new one that was 12,000 seats and they have an 8,000 seat athena connected to it. The school district has 10 high schools, they only play schools in the district and they have not one but two different stadiums. They sell season tickets.
Yes, it is a whole different world in Texas people.
Wow, coming from a school that never won a football game, that is something that I will never understand!
