Rain Glorious Rain
This is a map of the rain in the last 24 hours for the state of Oklahoma. We got 1 1/2 inches!!!!! And it was the best kind...the slow non-stormy rain. All night long it rained. Lots of puddles on the ground but no street flooding. The kind of rain that will soak the ground not runoff into the storm drains.
Can you tell I'm a little excited. It had been so long since we had a good rain. We were in a drought last year and it never recovered. So we need the normal amount of rain plus extra to catch up. I would take this once a week for six months.

Hoping that your drought has broken. I love it when we get rain here, it is so unusual, that just about any kind is exciting.
ReplyDeleteI live in Yorkshire in northern England, it rains so much here we may as well be underwater.
ReplyDeleteGreat news Tracy. Between the snow and the rain we were over last year and had some flooding, but not much damage to speak of, so I'll take it.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed that it continues for y'all.
Glad to know you are getting the rain right now and not Georgia!
