F - Visit all Fifty States
The United States is huge and has a such a variety of things to see and do. I feel it is my charge as an American to visit each and every state. So far I'm at 48 out of 50. I've lived in six of them (Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Florida, Texas and Oklahoma). Some of them I've only seen the airport (Salt Lake City, Utah and Newark, New Jersey). Some of them I visited while a child and some while an adult.
So what states have I not been too? You would think it would be Alaska and Hawaii, since those are the hardest to get to. But you would be wrong. I've been to Alaska two years ago (loved it).
I'll give you hints on the other state. It is small, but not the smallest, and you definitely have to want to go there to get there.
So where have I not been?
Is there anywhere in the United States you've wanted to go see and haven't been yet?

Not being an American, there are plenty of States I haven't been to. But if you count going through, I can count a surprising number. I haven't been to Hawaii or Alaska (yet - I have a friend in Alaska), or Maine, Vermont or New Hampshire (or have I been through NH?)or probably Wyoming. I'll have to get the map out to check the rest.

I haven't been to the US at all and there are plenty of states I want to visit. Many are on my bucket list!
ReplyDeleteWow! You've been to 48 states. That is so awesome!! I would love to see all 50 states too.
ReplyDeletePretty impressive of 48/50!! Hoping you get to the other two to complete this item on your bucket list. Lots of people tend to go to Hawaii here since its only about a 6 hour flight from Southern California (though we haven't been yet).
ReplyDeleteI've been to a lot of the Western states and mountain states like Montana, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico) and we drove across country so I saw a lot of the middle states like Nebraska, Kansas, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania. Haven't seen any southern states or New England states. Hope to though some day!
betty
There are lots of places in the states I've not been to that I'd like to visit, but not many of them are near the top of my bucket list. Those places are usually on a different continent :)
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Washington or Oregon, and I'd love to go!

Wow! Nice job. You have to go to the other two, so you can say you've gone to all 50 states. Then work on the US territories. Makes me want to count how many i've been to.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beaches in Delaware : ) We love Bethany! I've been to roughly half, I need to get to the Northwest!
ReplyDeleteImpressive! 48 out of 50! I'm nowhere near that close, though this is also on my bucket list. I've done pretty well in the west, but only hit three states east of the Mississippi. That's a lot of land to cover. I would like to do a cross-country road trip one of these days. Elle @ Erratic Project Junkie
