Monday's Weird Thing

Since I couldn't come up with anything clever today, I figured I would give you my weird thing for today.

As I was driving to work I noticed a child's shoe in the road. I thought nothing of it. You know how kids and parents are. It could have been on the top of a car for all I know and the car just drove off. But then on the same road I saw another shoe and then another one. None of them matched. Some were boys and some were girls. There were tennis shoes and dressy shoes. But all for kids.

And so I wondered, what is going on in this town? Does this road have a shoe curse? Or maybe there is an unwritten dare at school that every child needs to throw a shoe out the window as they drive down this road for good luck?

When I drove home today, I saw a different shoe. A school bus was running it over. Karma?

  1. Sounds like a lot of people in your town got off on the wrong foot this morning......lol. Sorry, couldn't resist!

  4. I had that happen with stuffed animals along an interstate once. Turns out the lady was moving and had a bunch of stuff in the back of her pickup, the box with stuffed animals blew open and she distributed them for about a half a mile.

  5. I have often wondered if the people ever go back trying to find the lost shoe. Mystery's of life!
