New Year - Day Two

Yesterday just didn't feel like New Year's Day because of the lack of the Rose Bowl Parade. That is always a highlight for us. So today was new year for us.

It has always been a tradition in our house (even when I was young) to have snack day for the first day of the year. Over the years it has been scaled down to be just pizza rolls and cheese/sausage and crackers. In fact I was told that we had to have pizza rolls. So that's what we did. It's probably a good thing that this day only happens once a year because it isn't the healthiest day.

You can see why I never make a resolution about eating healthy/losing weight. I would blow it the first day.

  1. Resolutions are just a reminder of failure for me. No self control here :)

  2. We do our "snack night" or h'ordeurve night on NYEve. This year we had a big honker loaf of garbage bread with a side of veggies and fruit. So good.

One day I will blog about garbage bread. It's so easy and so good.

And no resolutions here, ever. Who needs the first of the year to resolve to do something? What's wrong with a Thursday in March if you are so inclined to improve? heehee

Oh, and I love pizza rolls. I can't eat them anymore [sodium bombs] but the memories are good, nay great. YUM.
