Two Minute Mug Brownie

My sweet tooth got the best of me last night so I tried one of those microwave cake recipes that are going around. This one was for a brownie. The two minutes refers to all the time it takes to make.

I found the recipe on Babble.http://blogs.babble.com/family-kitchen/2011/09/13/two-minute-mug-brownie/

1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
2T unsweetened cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
2T oil
2T milk, water or coffee

In heatproof mug or ramekin stir dry ingredients together until no lumps. Stir in liquids until you have a paste.

Microwave 1 minute checking after 30 seconds. It depends on your microwave strength for time. Brownie should be spongy on top but gooey inside.

I think I cooked mine a few second too long because I didn't have gooey. This is super rich and I could only eat half of it. I will definitely do this again just with a different recipe. Super easy.

  1. I've tried a few of those recipes and they always "blow up" like a volcano in the microwave. Not a fun thing to have to clean microwave when what you want is to eat cake :)

  3. this looks really simple to do. Hope you are having a good week.

PS I know you have probably been busy. Just a wee reminder that it would be great if you followed Carole's Chatter back. Cheers

  4. Our local Rite Aid had Cadbury Chocolate on sale. WOW. Yummy. I bought 4 humungous bars for .88 cents a piece. I like one piece after dinner. If the family doesn't get into it it will last me over a month.

And we always have some sort of pie, cake or muffin in the fridge - but I have always wanted to try one of these for fun. I just might do it. Thx for the recipe.
