Friday Fragments

Yes it is another edition of Friday Fragments. The best way to end the work week.
Mommy's Idea

We have one item off the home improvement list...fix the ice maker in the fridge. Of course that still leaves three pages of other things. But we should go order the door this weekend.

Stupid criminal this week is from Columbia (the country). Seems as if three men tried to rob a grocery store but their getaway vehicle was a little loud and woke up the neighbors. You ask what was the vehicle...why a donkey of course. You just can't make this stuff up people.

I'm not going to talk about weather because we are lucky. Other than Thursday all week was in the 50-60 range. I would like rain however. Pretty please.

Oh my, Glee did the big butt song. I've heard the crooner version before but this was ten times worse. And I think it was one of the worst episodes that they have ever done.

I hit Bed, Bath and Beyond yesterday after getting my hair done and they still had some Christmas clearance stuff. I got two cute snowman soap dispensers for 60 cents each. They had Yankee Candles in the fall and winter smells 50% off but they still are so darn expensive. I'm going to wait to see if they come down in price some more and then I'll get some.

I broke my comb this morning. Do you think that is a sign?

Have a great weekend.

  1. You call 50-60 degree days this time of year GOOD weather, and I'd be totally disgusted with that in January!!! Bring on more snow, please!

  2. I've gieven up on Glee. I think it's gotten worse every season.

I don't think Yankee Candles ever get super cheap. I love them though : )

It's 14 here at the moment with some snow in the forecast. January in the northeast. Have a great weekend!

  3. Have you gone online and printed off some coupons for Yankee Candles? I've started getting the scentsy tarts. The actual scentsy thingies are too expensive for me, but WalMart has some really cute ones for 1/2 the price!
Too funny about the getaway donkey!

  4. I loaded up on some of those yankee candles for Christmas presents for next year :)

I kinda liked the glee song. Like the new group Adam's Apples.... but the show is definitely different. I miss Mr. Shue! & it needs more SUE!!!

  5. Wouldn't running have been faster than trying to get away on a donkey?

  6. That's so funny!! I hear Shrek saying "DONKEY!" now :-)

We currently rent, so 'home improvement' projects are non-existant. I still want to own my own home and piddle around with that sort of stuff!

  7. Breaking your comb is a sign all right--a sign to get a new one!

I watched Glee only once when it first started and hated it.

  8. Well, a donkey in Columbia actually makes sense, to me anyway. Now if it had been in a donkey in downtown Poughkeepsie that would've been another story. heehee

Our Yankee Candle store in the mall has the same 50% sale, and I don't know what Bed Bath and Beyond MY Budget charges for their Yankee Candles, but I thought the prices, on sale, at the Y/Candle store were darn good. I went ahead and stocked up for next Christmas. I am so excited to be able to give such top of the line candles [I always think of Y/Candles as being the best, but I can never afford to give them as gifts because their regular retail is so prohibitive]I am sure, somewhere, there are even better candles, but for their quality and price I consider them the Rolls Royce of candles. heehee

I wonder if BB&B marks them up even more? I can't imagine they are allowed to, but one never knows.

I may venture over to BB&B to see if ours has any Christmas sale stuff too. I hardly ever go in there, because as I call it, it is Bed Bath and "Beyond my Budget". I like to dream tho'.

Thanks for the heads up on the sale.

[Oh, and I thought you, weather lady extraordinaire, were going to share or at least send some of that nice weather with us? We are getting sleet this weekend. Enjoy yours. If we can't have some I am so happy at least one of our friends is basking in it. :D] Hugs!

    Still laughing about the donkey!
